2012. This is your time, Rockstar! Make your blogging dreams come true.

The DFW WordPress Group has grown from an intimate gathering of friends to one of the largest WordPress meetups on this side of the Milky Way. We are a powerhouse of knowledge, networking, and support. The best of the best, far above the rest.

Last year we met on nine sunny Saturday afternoons. We had guest presentations from controversial media experts, juggling writers, almost-pregnant book authors, and world-renowned Jedi trainers. We learned and learned. We ate sushi ’til we burst.

In 2012 we will do more — a lot more. Oh, the places you will go!

What will 2012 bring?

NEW VENUE. Set your GPS on the lovely Richardson Civic Center. Easy to find. Easy to park. Spacious. Three projectors. Not a bad seat in the house. Did I mention we have three projectors?

NEW TIME (2PM-4PM). Meetup activities start at 1pm with pizza and networking. The Meeting starts at 2pm and ends at 4pm. Afterwards, the famous “networking” after-party—location to be revealed.

NEW PRICE. This year the Meetup fee at the door is $10. What does $10 get you? It gets you a seat in the projectorlicious room, delicious food and beverage, and a spot on a coveted 12-outlet Rhino-brand electric power strip.

SEASON PASS. What could be better than seeing old friends and making new ones? How about leaving your cash under your mattress? Get a Season Pass for just $60 and have all your DFWWP Meetups prepaid for the whole year. With ten Meetups scheduled you’ll save 40%. You’ll also enjoy Pass Owner discounts to seminars and special events all year long. Get a DFWWP Season Pass today and you’ll sleep soundly all year. I guarantee it.

Purchase today, limited number available: http://dfwwp.org/season-pass

MORE WORKSHOPS. You can learn a lot in a two-hour meetup. Imagine diving into a whole day of WordPress goodness. Oh, the things you’ll learn! Each month you can enjoy a half-day (9:30AM-1PM) WordPress workshop on a laser-focused topic. Some newbie-level, some harder-level, some propellerhead-level for those who like a challenge. Each workshop will conclude with pizza piled high and deep (1PM-2PM). Workshop students can also attend the WordPress Meetup from 2PM-4PM at no extra charge.

PPPS — You say you want a Revolution? No? How about a Conference? This year our group will be hosting a two-day conference on Emerging Technology at the Grapevine Convention Center. Mark your calendar for June 23-24. Details soon.

Sincerely,

Tony Cecala, Ph.D.
